“We also choreographed for the Hope Collective,” Dick said. “There’s a lot of excitement there.”
Dick said the senior and elite teams will compete in jazz and hip hop this weekend at the JUMP Workshop and Dance Competition taking place May 27-29 at the Hawai’i Convention Center in O’ uh.
The bands return to a Showcase weekend on Saturday, June 4 starting at 5 p.m. on the Kukui Grove Center food court stage which serves as a preview for the Aloha Dance Studio recital taking place on Sunday, June 12 at starting at 2 p.m. at the Kaua ‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
“Can you believe it’s our 20th anniversary?” Dick asked. “We still have the three studios, including this one in Kukui Grove. We still have the gym, and I’ll start working on developing more programs there now that we have a new manager that allows for more work time.
