Loudoun Dance Academy has announced that it is moving its studio to 960 Sycolin Road in Leesburg Tech Park.
The academy has 16 full-time instructors and 200 dance teams and is currently located on East Market Street in Leesburg. The operation grows and expands to accommodate its recreation, competition and performance teams.
The Dance Academy signed a lease with St. John Properties for 12,000 square feet of space. He expects to complete the move and be operational this summer.
“We considered both retail and flexible office locations, with Leesburg Tech Park appearing to be the most sensible choice due to its proximity to our former space on East Market Street, the ease of adapting the interior space and adjacent retail and leisure facilities,” Elizabeth Boehlein, director of the Loudoun Dance Academy, said in a prepared statement.
During the pandemic, the academy has been offering outdoor classes to its students since the end of May.
960 Sycolin Road is part of the four-building Leesburg Tech Park business community at the intersection of Sycolin Road and Miller Drive. The single-story building features 41,040 square feet of flex/R&D space and 16-foot ceiling heights and dock and rear drive-up loading. St. John Properties is developing the 17-acre business community.
“Dance Academy of Loudoun has been a household name in the region for nearly three decades, and this program will bring increased energy and vitality to Leesburg Tech Park,” Matt Holbrook, Virginia and Central Maryland Regional Partner for St. John Properties, said in a prepared statement. “With recent upgrades to Sycolin Road, Bolen Park and Leesburg Executive Airport, this part of Leesburg is an exciting place to be and we are delighted to welcome Loudoun Academy of Dance to our community.”
