Disney World has slowly begun to return to a much more normal state of operation, and now another aspect of Disney is returning to guests.
Although the theme parks are working again, there are still a few things that haven’t come back yet. From Typhoon Lagoon to the majority of live entertainment, Disney guests are still missing some of that pre-pandemic magic. Disney’s BoardWalk Resort lacked much of the fun nightlife that typically fills the boardwalk with energy.
We’ve seen more restaurants return, however, the two popular bars, Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall remain close. Now, there seems to be a whiff of the Atlantic Dance Hall reopening for guests this summer! There is now signage on the building indicating that on August 8, the dance club will open again at 8:00 p.m.
At this time, the Walt Disney World website does not reflect this change when looking at the Atlantic Dance Hall schedule, however, it seems likely that it will be announced soon.
The reopening of the Atlantic Dance Hall is a big deal for several reasons! Signage on the building indicates that the location will be open until 1:00 a.m., which is later than any other property on Disney World property. Atlantic Dance Hall is for visitors 21 and older and offers an older crowd another fun way to experience Disney World.
Disney describes the Atlantic Dance Hall as follows:
rock at night
When the sun goes down, the party begins in this magnificent Art Deco ballroom. Watch the stars twinkle from the ceiling above the expansive dance floor as you strut your stuff.
Between the tunes, take a break on one of the balconies that overlooks the rippling waters of Lake Crescent, which stretches from the edge of the dance hall to the BoardWalk and beyond.
Make every night unforgettable!
The Atlantic Dance Hall is restricted to visitors aged 21 and over.
