This summer, Infinity Dance Academy had the honor of representing Fredonia at the World Dance Championships in New Jersey. Exclusive invitations are awarded to regional and national Star Dance Alliance competitions throughout the season. The World Dance Championship is a true competition of the best of the best where studios from all over the world come to compete for the title.

Infinity was delighted to receive three “golden tickets” to compete in this year’s championship. The three qualifying routines were “Power Puff Girls”, “Leave a light on,” and “The dog days are over.”

“Power Puff Girls” is a small open category group made up of 4 talented dancers from Silver Creek; Ericka Austin, Arianna Merced, Lilly Shaw and Aubri Robbins. This routine ranked 30th out of 51 other dances in their category. It was their first experience in a competition of this magnitude, and they could not have finished their season with a better performance.

“Leave a Light On” is a large contemporary group that consists of 13 dancers from across the county; Allie Pchelka, Ana Rosati, Angelina Rand, Emily Bowers, Isabella Manning, Jess Pulver, Kaylen Rollins, Kristina Jewell, Lacey Genovese, Leionna Thomas, Mariah Polowy, Mikayla Christopher and Olivia Corbett. This routine has been a hit all season long, winning top honors and numerous specialty awards at every competition. They performed impeccably at the world championships and came away with a 7th place overall.

Finally, the Infinity Dance Company played “The Dog Days Are Over” an open category line that consists of several dance styles; specifically, jazz, contemporary, acro and tap. This group consisted of 22 dancers, Adrina Lagano, Allie Pchelka, Ana Rosati, Angelina Rand, Aubree Miller-Shifflett, Emily Bowers, Hannah Powell, Isabella Manning, Jazmyn Bertino, Jess Pulver, Kaylen Rollins, Kristina Jewell, Kye Saletta, Lacey Genovese, Leionna Thomas, Mariah Polowy, Maddie Manning, Mikayla Christopher, Olivia Corbett, Sage Zachmann, Sophia Privitere and Val Nasca. These dancers had an incredible performance and were honored to place 3rd overall in their category.

Infinity Dance Academy has started its 17th season.
