Local dance studio wins big at regional dance competitions

As the spring competition season draws to a close, local youth representing Room to dance (Located in Riverton WY) ended its season on a high note receiving numerous accolades. The studio dancers hail from Fremont County, including Riverton, Lander, Hudson and Shoshoni. Competing dancers are ages 6 to 17.

It was an outstanding competitive season for these kids and their hard work paid off with many prizes they were able to take home. Owner/instructor Miss Jessie says, “Her dancers have come a long way, they have not only created great memories with their teammates this season, but they have also received many awards!

The studio is always ready to welcome new team members and encourages anyone who loves to dance to come join them. Room To Dance currently offers 4 levels of competitive teams which include: Kids, Junior, Teen & Senior, teams competed in 2 different competitions this spring, with 2 more competitions offered to soloists, which also included a convention opportunity.

BEST OF SHOW
Teen Pom Pom Routine “Do I Have Your Attention”
This dance routine featured 12 dancers ranging in age from 8 to 17 years old and varying levels from beginner to advanced. It’s the 1st year when the studio was able to offer this style to the community! Performers include Mya, Hannah, Rylee, Ameli, Nadia, Angie, Aquinnah, Gabriella, Nicole, Emirah, Andrea, and Alysa.

2022 STUDIO OF EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER (ADCC) This award is given to a studio that best exemplifies the values ​​of teamwork and the pursuit of excellence.

Want to see these dancers perform? Come and support them during their “Spring Recital”. The recital is this Thursday, May 26 at the CWC Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theater. The show starts at 6 p.m. with solo performances and at 7 p.m. for the main showcase. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.
