Pirouette Dance Studio excels in all categories in recent competition | Sports

OCILLA – Pirouette Dance Studio recently participated in the Diamond Cheer & Dance Competition.

Pirouette competed with a team of 17 students, beginners, intermediates and advanced in various dance genres: tap, lyric, hip hop, acro, stick and jazz.

Pirouette won the award for “Dance Studio of Excellence” and “Top Rated Studio” for the overall competition. They also received 0 deductions on multiple routines and won 15 first place awards and multiple national championship entries.

Ms. Sabrina Weeks is very proud of her students and honored to work with such a large group of girls. “They are such great role models for our studio and our community. They are each a blessing to know and to train, ”she said. “Our Pirouette dancers are supreme examples of hard work, passion, humility and being goal oriented as a competitive dancer.”

Not only do Pirouette students dance 3-4 hours a week, they are also involved in extracurricular activities, they are active in their church and youth groups, they are honor roll students. They also compete in their school’s athletic teams and several trips from Douglas, Ashburn and Tifton.

Weeks thanked Pirouette coaches Jahyna Anderson, Gracie Passmore and Aliceson Sulytacki for all their hard work in preparing our classes and students for the 10th season and year. “Our coaching team is amazing,” said Weeks.

Pirouette continues with the competition in January.
